Zesty Turkey Burgers

I have searched for quite awhile to find a turkey burger I liked. This one and the Hawaiian turkey burger fit the bill! These burgers taste great, but are a little difficult to flip on a grill. Use a George Foreman if possible. If using a regular grill, flip carefully!

  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 T. cider vinegar
  • 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. hot sauce ( such as Tabasco)
  • 1/3 c. quick cooking oats
  • 20 oz. ground turkey ( 93% lean)
  • Lettuce, tomato
  • 5 slices Sargento reduced fat Provolone cheese

In a small bowl, combine first 7 ingredients. Transfer half of this mixture to a large bowl and stir in the oats. Reserve mixture in small bowl for basting.
Mix oat mixture with turkey and form into 5 patties. Spray grill rack with cooking spray. Grill for 5-7 minutes per side, basting occasionally until done. Add cheese and grill until melted. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato.
