Beer Can Chicken

Beer Can Chicken: serves 4 ( 1/4 chicken = 4 points)

1 T. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
3.5 lb whole chicken
1 can beer

Spray a roasting pan with nonstick cooking spray. Remove 1/4 of beer from can. Mix spices in a small bowl. Loosen skin of chicken around breast and thigh. Rub spices under skin and on top of skin. Place chicken over beer can. Bake at 375 until meat thermometer registers 180 degrees in thigh. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing. Remove skin before serving.
